Amigos de las Américas is a nonprofit international youth development organization with over 55 years experience providing immersive, independent leadership experiences for high school students, offering summer programs across different countries in Central and South America, as well as the United States. Summer programs are centered around the implementation of a community-based volunteer project, with project themes ranging from Environmental Health, Entrepreneurship: Youth in Business, Equality through Sports, and more! Unlike many overseas summer programs, Amigos is about a lot more than tourism: it's about engaged community service, youth leadership, and meaningful intercultural exchange.

The AMIGOS New York City Chapter is part of a 25 Chapter Network that recruits, trains, and supports AMIGOS volunteers and families in their local community. In preparation for Summer Programs, students will fundraise up to $2,200 per person, and participate directly in the funding of their trip. The Chapter will use this platform to collect donations and monitor student's progress. Alternatively, donations made via checks should be made out to: Amigos de las Américas – NYC CHAPTER. No cash payments, please.
